Overview
The Analysis Engineer will contribute to the delivery of dynamic analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) services for offshore energy projects, including those in the Wind and Oil & Gas sectors. Working within the Engineering team, the successful candidate will identify customer analysis requirements, develop solutions to engineering problems, lead and monitor analysis activities on live projects, contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of analysis techniques, and mentor junior engineers and share best practices. Using software such as OrcaFlex and FEA tools, the role focuses on simulation and performance assessments of subsea asset protection systems, particularly cable protection solutions, ensuring compliance with strength, fatigue, vibration, and excursion specifications from installation to long-term operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the engineering team to understand and define analysis requirements.
* Lead and manage analysis activities on assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
* Continuously improve analysis methodologies and practices.
* Interpret client specifications and recommend suitable analysis approaches.
* Prepare, review, and validate input data by liaising with internal teams and clients.
* Build, validate, and maintain analysis models and scripts (primarily in OrcaFlex).
* Perform simulations and interpret results to advise on system performance and design.
* Review and validate analysis performed by other engineers.
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
* Support R&D initiatives and product development activities.
* Work with testing and validation teams to develop test plans and interpret results.
