Moulsham High School is a thriving, inclusive community that welcomes students, parents, staff and visitors from all backgrounds. Our ethos is for students of all abilities and backgrounds to feel valued so that they can reach their potential, not only academically but also as well‑rounded individuals who are prepared for life in the modern world and can contribute positively to their local and wider communities.

We are a high performing comprehensive school where the quality of education is outstanding. 2023's G.C.S.E. results put us in the top 16% of all schools nationally. Teaching and learning is at the heart of all we do and the professional development of our staff is a priority. Behaviour is calm and the atmosphere is productive and purposeful, making it an enjoyable place to be. However Moulsham High School never stands still; we are forward looking and believe that the best is yet to come.

Moulsham High School is part of the Bridge Academy Trust: a collegiate and collaborative Trust, where, first and foremost, each school is a place of high quality learning, where young people ENJOY, ENRICH, ACHIEVE & ASPIRE. The core purpose is to provide high quality continuity of every child’s journey through education from 3 to 19, with a community and school‑led school improvement approach and long‑term sustainable strategy. Bridge Academy Trust is committed to its people strategy and prioritises staff’s development to ensure they too can enjoy, enrich, achieve and aspire.

About the role

Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11‑18 comprehensive school where all students consistently achieve highly. Overall progress and attainment have been well above Essex and national averages for the last 8 years. 2025's G.C.S.E. results placed us in the top 9% of all schools nationally. In October 2024 Ofsted said that: "The mutual respect shown between pupils and staff ensures that learning takes place in a cordial environment. Classrooms are welcoming places."

We are looking for a well‑qualified Spanish teacher, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our highly successful and dedicated Modern Languages Faculty. This is a unique opportunity to work with an extremely supportive, talented and innovative language team. All languages staff have their own rooms which are adjacent to each other in the attractive setting of the Old School and are equipped with an up‑to‑date smart screen and internet access. Uptake for languages is high with at least 60% of Years 10 and 11 studying at a language at G.C.S.E. Spanish is also a popular post‑16 option.

The successful candidate will teach Spanish across KS3. G.C.S.E. teaching may also be available. The post is suitable for either an E.C.T. or a more experienced teacher. Visits to the school prior to application are most welcome and can be arranged using the contact details below.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and is not suitable for anyone who has been banned from working with children.

Bridge Academy Trust may close this advert early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
