About the role
Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11‑18 comprehensive school where all students consistently achieve highly. Overall progress and attainment have been well above Essex and national averages for the last 8 years. 2025's G.C.S.E. results placed us in the top 9% of all schools nationally. In October 2024 Ofsted said that: "The mutual respect shown between pupils and staff ensures that learning takes place in a cordial environment. Classrooms are welcoming places."
We are looking for a well‑qualified Spanish teacher, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our highly successful and dedicated Modern Languages Faculty. This is a unique opportunity to work with an extremely supportive, talented and innovative language team. All languages staff have their own rooms which are adjacent to each other in the attractive setting of the Old School and are equipped with an up‑to‑date smart screen and internet access. Uptake for languages is high with at least 60% of Years 10 and 11 studying at a language at G.C.S.E. Spanish is also a popular post‑16 option.
The successful candidate will teach Spanish across KS3. G.C.S.E. teaching may also be available. The post is suitable for either an E.C.T. or a more experienced teacher. Visits to the school prior to application are most welcome and can be arranged using the contact details below.
