Dental Receptionist Position Available

Devonshire House Dental Practice | Cambridge

Full-Time 37 hours per week on a rota basis, from 07:45hrs to 18:15hrs Across 4 days a week

Multiple roles available: Permanent or FTC up to 12months

We’re now looking for a warm, professional, and organised Dental Receptionist to become part of our front-of-house team in a fast-paced practice.

About The Role

As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the tone for the high-quality care we provide. You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient appointments, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive and friendly team, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and has a natural ability to make people feel at ease.

This role requires occasional travel to a nearby site to provide reception cover. The location is:

Vitality Copley, Copley Hill Business Park, Cambridge Road, Babraham, CB22 3GN. Suitable and reliable transport to this site is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience


* Greet all patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and care
* Handle telephone and email enquiries in a helpful, informative manner
* Book, adjust, and manage patient appointments accurately
* Ensure patient information is up-to-date and handled with confidentiality
* Take payments and issue receipts
* Send appointment reminders and courtesy calls
* Support patients with necessary paperwork and information

Team & Practice Support

* Work closely with clinicians, nurses, and the wider reception team
* Assist with day-to-day administration and record-keeping
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming reception area
* Report any concerns or issues to the Reception Management Team
* Support with operational efficiency and appointment book management

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

* Friendly, calm, and professional
* A confident communicator with a great telephone manner
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a busy front desk
* Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
* Proactive and a strong team player

Experience in a healthcare or dental setting is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided.
