Our client is looking for an experienced, focused and determined Care Manager to join their home care service in the South Essex area (Basildon, Benfleet, Rayleigh, South End or Canvey Island and surrounding areas).
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll oversee care management tasks, support with care coordination, support with staff recruitment and supervision, manage compliance, and play a key part in growing and developing the service. You will take a lead role in managing the day-to-day delivery of high-quality domiciliary care, ensuring that clients receive the best possible support to remain independent at home.
Our client already has an established presence in domiciliary care and you will receive all necessary guidance and support.
The successful applicant will develop positive relationships with external stakeholders such as CQC, Social Services, CHC, relatives and the local Safeguarding team; and also motivate and develop staff.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Promoting positive and Person-Centred support for all service users.
* Implementing and managing of audits and quality assurance structures; ensuring a culture of "analyse, review and improve".
* Safe recruitment, selection and retention of staff.
* Employee relations, including staff communications, managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness.
* Being highly responsive and proactive when referrals are received.
* Actively ensuring that the offices increase weekly hours as rapidly as possible by utilising links with the local community, positively marketing the office, and increasing the number of private clients.
* Increase revenue and control costs as per the requirements of the business.
* Oversee compliance in line with policies, procedures and regulatory expectations.
* Run the service according to standards set by the CQC, and be well-versed in CQC requirements.
* Keep up to date with regulatory and legislative changes.
* On-call work.
Essential Criteria
* Must have driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
* Must have a resilient character, with high standards of probity and integrity.
* Strong leadership skills in managing and motivating staff.
* The ability and drive to be caring and supportive of service users and their relatives.
* Previous experience as a Care Manager, Deputy Manager or Care Coordinator.
* Good knowledge and literacy of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook as a minimum).
* Must have good working knowledge of electronic call monitoring systems and electronic care plan systems.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Health & Social Care, or working towards.
* Experience supervising and mentoring care staff.
Contracted Hours:
* Full time 40 hours Monday to Friday
Salary (annual):
* £25,000 to £30,000 negotiable dependent on experience and attitude
Annual leave entitlement:
* 28 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
