Key Purpose:

To ensure the smooth running of the production lines and warehouse through effective and efficient movement of product to and from the production lines and the loading/unloading the trailers as and when required. To take ownership of the accuracy and timeliness of your tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

* To operate in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policy, to report all near misses, accidents, damaged racking or unsafe locations
* To keep production lines clear of finished product and to replenish components to production lines (caps, cartons, bottles) with appropriate attention to detail to ensure stock accuracy.
* To load/unload vehicles as required, ensuring stock accuracy and paperwork are at an acceptable standard.
* To check that each product is in good condition and corresponds with the information displayed on the screen/paperwork.
* To monitor production/customer returns, identifying and documenting any errors and/or descrepencies
* Check your vehicle at the start of every shift before signing for it, ensuring you report any fault
* Take ownership of your work area ensuring the area is kept clean and tidy and audit ready at all times
* Maintain your licence to use all MHE and have a flexible approach to your working day

Key Result Areas:

* Safe practices ensuring the safety of yourself and others resulting in zero lost time accidents
* Accurate and timely movement of products from lines and loading/unloading
* Flexible approach to activities ensuring all documentation is complete

Education and Experience

* FLT/VNA license
* Experience of operating in a similar FMCG environment
* Ability to operate a computer controlled stock and pick system via a truck mounted system

* Knows what he/she needs to do to deliver and achieve objectives respecting the work of others.

* Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to company values.
* Understands and takes responsibility for the affect own day to day actions have on the commercial performance of the business e.g. waste, quality, responsiveness to internal and external enquiries, appearance in front of customers.
* Takes an interest and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Policies, Procedures and Standards

* Has a broad understanding and applies those aspects of policy, procedure and standards that are applicable to self and own area of work.
* Is aware of the various methods and measures which exist to monitor compliance to policies, procedures and standards and the risks/consequence of non-compliance.

Customer Service

* Understands the concept of the “internal customer, supplier”, who their internal customers are and the standards of service they require.
* Develops working relationships with people from other areas of the business.
* Provides services and information accurately and timely.
* Responds to customers in a collaborative and friendly manner always striving to deliver customer satisfaction.
* Takes ownership for work activities, issues and complaints within his/her control, referring those, which are outside their remit to the appropriate person.

Health, Safety and Environment

* Complies with Robert McBride Ltd. Health, Safety and Environmental Policies as displayed on the notice board.
* Ensures safe working and ensures that their working environment is kept tidy.
* Reports any safety hazards and environment risks within the work area or malfunction of any machine, plant or equipment to the immediate Manager.
* Complies with all written or verbal instructions given to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
* Uses safety equipment and/or protective clothing as required by the task in hand. E.g. Ear/Eye protection, Safety Footwear etc.
* Reports all incidents to the immediate Manager whether injury is sustained or not, including environment incidents.
* Observes the Fire Evacuation Procedure and learn the position of all fire equipment and exit routes.

Quality

* Understands and takes responsibility for quality.
* Understanding and follows all quality procedures and specifications.
* Reports substandard or unsatisfactory work/products.
