What You'll Do
* Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
* Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM’s) such as low‑level outlet flushing, fire alarm testing, emergency lighting, etc.
* Monitor contractors, issue permits and ensure adherence to correct procedures.
* Carry out remedial work from PPM’s if needed.
* Perform reactive tasks as and when necessary, from client requests.
* Conduct minor installation works.
* Build good customer relationships.
* Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges and control components.
* Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations and work‑safety requirements.
* Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
* Apply in‑depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
* Coach others and share in‑depth knowledge of your job discipline and broad knowledge of several disciplines within the function.
* Lead by example and model behaviours consistent with CBRE RISE values, building consensus and convincing others to reach agreement.
* Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within your own team and related teams.
* Work within broad guidelines and policies.
* Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Skills and Qualifications
* City & Guilds Mechanical/Electrical discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent apprenticeship.
* City & Guilds Level 2 Award in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category 1 or equivalent.
* Electrical knowledge and experience desirable.
* Meet the physical requirements of the role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 20 kg or more.
* Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
* Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Experience working with a CAFAM system (e.g., Maximo).
* Strong organisational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Additional Information
* The property is a private dwelling located outside of Oakham; therefore access to reliable transportation is essential.
* Seasonal overtime opportunities may be available in addition to standard weekly hours.
