Ivy Resource Group are recruiting for a talented and driven Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of new build housing developments in Cheltenham. Our client is a reputable residential developer looking for a commercially astute individual to join their team on a permanent basis with an immediate start available.

The Role Entails:
This role is integral to the commercial success of multiple residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards. You'll be involved from pre-construction through to final accounts, working closely with the wider project and site teams.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Preparing and managing project budgets, valuations, and cost reports
* Procuring and managing subcontractor packages, including tender analysis
* Assisting with feasibility studies, cost planning and value engineering exercises
* Managing and tracking variations, change orders, and site instructions
* Carrying out monthly valuations and cost forecasting
* Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
* Liaising closely with the site and technical teams to manage cost and risk
* Supporting with the preparation of final accounts
* Attending site meetings and progress reviews
* Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
* Ensuring commercial best practices are followed across the development lifecycle
What We Need From You:
* Experience in residential construction, ideally within a developer or main contractor setting
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control and procurement processes
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Proficiency with industry software (e.g., COINS, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.)
* A proactive and professional approach with a focus on delivering results
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Full UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits:
* £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
