An opportunity has arisen for the position of a Streetworks Compliance Inspector with knowledge and experience of working in a street works environment to join our team. In this role, the purpose is to aid adherence to the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) 1991, with particular focus on the code of practice for Safety at Street Works and Road Works concerning signing, lighting, and guarding.
Primary duties include undertaking category A inspections across Oxfordshire and possibly surrounding areas for one of our long-standing clients. The position is to ascertain whether client operatives or sub-contractors comply with statutory requirements, and to assist and advise in remediation where they do not. A live online reporting system will support this by providing evidence of inspection content, relevant actions required, or associated observations.
This is a full-time, salaried position and will include:

Essential Requirements:
· Current NRSWA qualification to the Supervisor Standard.
· Previous experience in highways and streetworks is essential to this role.
· Current, clean UK driving license
· You must be able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, client representatives, and members of the public.
· Experience with recording information on a tablet/laptop is essential.
The successful candidate will be engaged on a six-month probationary period and subject to review.
