The Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing / Production Manager to lead our production operations. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our factory floor runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while driving improvements in processes, systems, and shift structures.
The successful candidate will bring both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, working closely with the senior management team to deliver on-time, high-quality products while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day management of production operations across all manufacturing areas.
Develop, implement, and refine shift patterns and modernisation of current shift any experience of changing/building new shifts or similar would be nice to have) to maximise output, flexibility, and employee engagement.
Champion modernisation of processes, systems, and technology across the manufacturing environment.
Manage production planning, capacity, and resources to meet customer requirements and delivery targets.
Ensure quality standards and health & safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
Lead, mentor, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive operational excellence.
Analyse KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Support investment cases for new machinery, systems, and process upgrades.
Requirements
Proven track record as a Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, or similar in a modern manufacturing setting.
Strong background in leading shift-based production operations, ideally with experience in 2-shift systems or implementing shift pattern changes.
Demonstrated experience in modernising production processes and driving efficiency improvements.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and best practice methodologies.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Effective communicator with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
