We are looking for a responsible Goods Inspector to check the quality of all incoming goods. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.
The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. Experience in engineering with a manufacturing or assembly background
The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success.
Responsibilities
* Ability to interpret technical specifications and CAD drawings to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
* Develop and implement quality control methods to ensure standards, guidelines and compliance are to acceptance for use of the company.
* Use of SAGE software to record all inspection reports and quality issues, training in software can be provided.
* Approve or reject raw materials and correspond with supplier to ensure replacement or repair is as required for usage.
* Ensure inspection records are kept and recorded into SAGE.
* Input inspection procedures into SAGE software.
* Help and assist with storing and issuing of stock parts to production.
* Communicate with internal Managers, suppliers and production teams to resolve any goods inwards issues.
Requirements and skills
* Inspecting of goods received
* A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
* Responsible and trustworthy
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* Full Clean driving licence for local driving to and from warehouses would be an advantage
Full Time 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Location: Southport
Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications.
