This is a full-time role, working directly with one child who has autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The pupil can become easily dysregulated and may remove her clothes when distressed, requiring support with toileting and changing. The position is best suited to someone calm, adaptable, and reliable, who can provide consistent care while fostering a safe and positive learning environment.

What You Will Be Doing
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will include:
* Providing consistent support for a child with autism in a Year 1 class
* Assisting with toileting, changing, and emotional regulation when required
* Creating a calm and secure environment to help the pupil engage in learning
* Working closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to implement support strategies
* Helping to maintain a positive learning atmosphere for the class as a whole
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs
* Confidence managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
* A resilient, nurturing, and patient approach to working with young learners
* Commitment to maintaining safeguarding standards at all times
* A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
