Pro fuel Plant Operator - Ketton

Hours: 40 per week (Rotative Shifts)

We are seeking a Pro fuel Plant Operator to join our Operational Shift Team at Ketton. This is a key role supporting the Shift Manager in driving operational excellence across the Pro fuel plant - a critical facility designed to process granulated solid fuel for continuous 24-hour Cement Kiln operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate mobile plant safely and efficiently, maintaining kiln demand without compromising safety, environmental standards, or production.
* Ensure full compliance with environmental, health & safety, and quality requirements.
* Work closely with the Pro fuel Plant Controller to supply fuel to the process and coordinate daily activities.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and monitor stock levels.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and site functions.
* Complete necessary reports and documentation.
* Coordinate material movement to optimise plant operations.
* Support the Shift Manager with additional process-related tasks as required.
Job Dimensions
* Operate mobile equipment for material processing and production.
* Ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations, including contractor deliveries.
* Liaise with the Pro fuel Plant Controller to manage deliveries, stock levels, and report equipment faults.
* Escalate any H&S, environmental, quality, or supply issues promptly.
Candidate Requirements
* Strong focus on health & safety.
* High competency in operating mobile equipment.
* Experience or training in fire safety and associated risks.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and drive efficiency.
* Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and self-motivation.
* Good knowledge of equipment location and operation.
* Awareness of safety and environmental issues, with relevant training.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good literacy and numeracy.
* Solid understanding of workplace health & safety.
* Ability to work independently.
