Project Leader - Structural Engineer
Location: Liverpool City Centre
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus industry-leading benefits
On behalf of a leading Structural Engineering consultancy in Liverpool, we are seeking a talented Project Leader - Structural Engineer to join their expanding technical team. This role is ideal for an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Engineer with 5 to 8 years of post-graduate consultancy experience.
The consultancy is an industry leader in the UK with around 300 technical engineering staff across 14 offices. They offer one of the most impressive benefits packages in the UK Structural Engineering industry.
As a Project Leader - Structural Engineer, you will be part of a team of 30+ professionals within one of four dedicated Structures Teams.
You will work on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, including healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, and education, with project values ranging from £1m to over £100m. Notable projects include Royal Albert Dock, Royal Liver Building, Paddington Knowledge Quarter, and the transformation of the former Littlewoods Edge Lane Building.
Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead multiple structural engineering projects, from inspection and appraisal of existing structures to the analysis and design of new structures.
* Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of concrete, masonry, and steelwork in design and construction.
* Client Interaction: Consult with clients, attend meetings, and represent the consultancy confidently.
* Deliverables and Quality: Prepare project-specific deliverables, ensuring quality and deadline adherence.
* Mentorship and Development: Support the growth of junior team members.
The Ideal Candidate:
* 5-8 years of post-graduate consultancy experience in structural engineering.
* Proven ability to lead technical projects independently.
* Strong report writing and documentation skills.
* Familiarity with industry-standard design software and analysis tools.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and stakeholders.
* Actively working towards Chartered status with a recognized professional institution.
