The Role
As a Depot Assistant, you will be at the heart of our customer experience, working in a dynamic team and tackling a variety of exciting tasks. These include:
* Serving both public and trade customers
* Answering phone calls and taking orders
* Processing hires and sales on our hire system
* Handling credit card and cash transactions
* Assisting the Depot Manager with day-to-day administration tasks
* Demonstrating machines to customers (full training provided)
* Testing equipment to ensure it is safe and ready for hire.
This role is both client-driven and workshop-based, dealing with the building trade and general public. Knowledge of plant and tools would be beneficial; however, we offer a variety of internal and external courses where appropriate. There may be times when cover for holiday and sickness at other depots is required.
Skills, Qualifications and Qualities
* Enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service.

* Excellent telephone manner

* Able to prioritise work.
* Previous experience dealing face-to-face with the public.
* Knowledge of electrical equipment is preferable but not essential (full PAT training will be provided)
