NES Fircroft is currently seeking a Project Manager in the Barrow-in-Furness area for a 12-month contract to join a global oilfield services client.
Our client is the world's leading provider of subsea technology and solutions, making new and existing subsea oil and gas projects more cost-effective and environmentally sustainable.
To succeed in this role, you will need to lead projects based on business needs and ensure successful execution. You will collaborate across departments to plan, progress, and execute critical projects on time, focusing on delivery readiness, on-time release, manufacturing performance, and optimization.
This role offers a 12-month PAYE contract with potential renewal. UK nationals are preferred for consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor deliverables to maintain schedules across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
2. Provide internal and external delivery updates and compile communication packs.
3. Work with delivery teams, planning, and execution to track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure on-time delivery.
4. Assist engineering teams in evaluating manufacturing readiness and efficiency, and contribute to project scheduling.
5. Develop best practices for engineering deliverables and project scheduling.
6. Suggest improvements by analyzing departmental synergies.
7. Utilize data analysis to support business decisions and improvement projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Studying towards or holding a Degree or Masters in a technical field, preferably mechanical or electrical.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, CAD, MS Project, and understanding technical drawings.
