Job responsibilities
The Adult and Autism team are seeking an Adult Support Coordinator who will promote choice, control, and independence, ensuring the service user remains at the centre of this process.
The team works with adults with Autism and those with other eligible care and support needs, often related to neurodiversity. Our goal is to work progressively with individuals, recognising their talents and abilities, while providing tailored support under the Care Act.
No two days are the same in the Adults and Autism Team. The work can be challenging but rewarding, supporting individuals to develop their life chances. The team is supportive, knowledgeable, and works flexibly to achieve the best outcomes.

What will you be doing?
You will work with adults and their informal carers to explore their support needs, and with young people approaching adulthood to establish their needs and support plans, leveraging community resources and their strengths.
About you
We seek an energetic, motivated individual who enjoys making a difference and building relationships. A social work qualification is not required, but experience and understanding of adults with support needs, Autism, neurodiversity, the Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act are essential.
