Saxmundham Healthcare is looking for a GP partner or job share partners to join the practice working 6-8 sessions a week.
We are currently two Partners with five salaried GPs working from 4 to 8 sessions a week. We employ our own in-house experienced RMN to provide support for our patients with mental health needs, and a clinical care coordinator who has skillfully developed her own role, reaching out to support our most vulnerable patients — visiting them at home where appropriate. We have three advanced prescribing nurses, one of whom is a dermoscopist with a Masters in Dermatology, and a nurse consultant with a specialist interest in both A&E and end-of-life care. We employ our own paramedic with a PGCert in dementia who conducts most of the visits.
Our dispensary team works side by side with our in-house clinical pharmacist, who leads the medicines management team to ensure patients receive excellent prescription services, including free home delivery using our practice electric car for our isolated and housebound patients.
We are a teaching and training practice. We have hosted students from local universities this past year and will be teaching final-year medical students from Cambridge next year. We currently have one GP trainee in post.
The successful candidate(s) will work closely with the current partners, management, and wider clinical teams to support the highest quality care for our patients while playing a key role in developing the future vision.
