Equans is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
Reporting to the Mechanical Manager, the Mechanical Supervisor is part of a larger site-based team. The main responsibilities include the daily organisation of the maintenance teams, including specialist subcontractors to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the hospital. The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating site operations in compliance with company contract, and local operating procedures to ensure a standardised approach to the Equans service delivery including.
1. Ensuring maintenance (planned & reactive) is carried out in line with budgetary and quality constraints and in line with agreed service levels and all relevant legislation.
2. All activities within the Technical Services team to meet and exceed the contracted service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
3. Establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with all key stakeholders, customers, partners, contractors and other third parties to deliver best practice services.
4. Compliance with all statutory requirements in relation to safe working practices and safe operation of plant, equipment and services and all activities essential to meet all relevant Health Technical Memoranda (HTM and SHTM) and Quality Assurance requirements.
5. The review and implementation of the site Health & Safety (H&S) Plan and associated Risk Assessments, alongside the SHEQ team, ensuring that obligations for H&S and any statutory requirements associated to the delivery of the contract are appropriately and fully applied.

Who are we looking for?
17. NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Discipline is essential.
18. Experience in HVAC systems or comparable training and a working knowledge of these systems would be advantageous.
19. Demonstratable experience in a previous supervisor position would be advantageous.
20. Previous experience within a Healthcare Environment would be greatly advantageous.
21. Holds or has held a relevant Appointed Persons Status. Or be prepared to undertake relevant AP training
22. Working Knowledge of the appropriate Standards including Scottish Health Technical Memorandums.
23. SSSTS would be advantageous.
