<div><p><b>The closing date is 18 June 2026.</b></p><h3>Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) In Oesophago-Gastric Upper GI Surgery</h3><p>Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) in Oesophago‑Gastric Upper GI Surgery based in Addenbrookes Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.</p><p>This 12‑month post is available from 1 July 2026.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><p>This post offers significant operative experience of oesophageal and gastric surgery, including advanced minimally invasive procedures, and experience in the management of complex tertiary referrals. The unit performs 80‑100 resections per annum.</p><p>These posts do not carry Postgraduate Deans approval or training recognition.</p><p>Full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC at the time of application is required.</p><h3>About us</h3><p>Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer.</p><h3>Job responsibilities</h3><p>The post holder will be primarily responsible for the day‑to‑day care of the patients on the Upper GI Oesophago‑gastric Unit, which has eight Consultants, a Senior Registrar, a Core Trainee, four Foundation Year Trainees, four Clinical Nurse Specialists, three Dieticians and a dedicated enhanced recovery ward. The successful candidate will be involved with all aspects of the elective and emergency work of this team and will share responsibilities with the Registrar.
