Job title: National Account Manager
Reporting to: Senior National Account Manager
Location: Cottage Farm, Mears Ashby Road, Sywell, Northamptonshire, NN6 0BJ
Working pattern: Hybrid - minimum of two days per week in the office; up to
three days per week working from home

We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to manage and grow key UK accounts across all business categories, including books, stationery, crafts, and toys.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage major accounts across all business categories, ensuring strong performance and long-term growth.
* Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives to meet and exceed budget targets.
* Take full ownership of P&L and be accountable for the financial performance of each account.
* Present new product developments (NPD) and lead regular strategic meetings with designated customers.
* Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
* Forecast stock requirements for customer ranges and manage inventory effectively.
* Build and nurture strong relationships across the customer base while actively identifying new business opportunities.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to all assigned accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and account management.
* Provide accurate quarterly sales and contribution forecasts to support business planning.
* Provide fortnightly updates on sales performance, key developments, and emerging opportunities.
Skills And Experience
* Strong understanding of the book, stationery, and/or toy industry.
* Proven experience working with national discounters and high street retailers.
* Self-motivated team player with a proactive, “go the extra mile” attitude.
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
* Confident presenter with strong presentation and communication abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with an analytical and forward-thinking mindset.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
* High level of numeracy and mathematical competence.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (essential).
* Positive, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to challenges.
* Willingness to travel overseas occasionally as required for a few days at a time
