Job Description To ensure that all equipment within NovoGen's control is correctly maintained and repaired, maximising plant efficiency and the safety of all personnel at all times. To maintain and improve standards of Health and Safety, Quality and housekeeping and to report any short comings promptly. To maintain site HVAC, AHU, CHP and Sprinkler Pump assets within a multi-site client estate. To carry out, within competency levels, management of maintenance activities, fault finding, repair, decommissioning and re-commissioning. To maintain a flexible approach and focus on the needs of the client. Main Tasks To safely operate and maintain plant items under NovoGens control, ensuring 100% service delivery is supplied to the client under contract KPIs. Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training. Respond accordingly during emergency situations and follow documented procedures. Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies. Host specialist sub-contractors, and ensure they conform to site requirements. Formulate and review risk assessments and method statements. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, routine servicing and inspection and commissioning of mechanical plant and instrumentation within the portfolio. Ensure that site PPM schedules are fulfilled and that service records/reports are issued on time. Respond to the requests of the FM Helpdesk by carrying out tasks associated with breakdowns. Provide effective feedback to the Site Lead to ensure awareness of equipment issues. Provide absence and holiday cover within the wider team as required. To take responsibility for defects and follow up on any repairs. Act as a point of contact for Helpdesk calls. Identify and take ownership of specific improvement projects. Qualifications Trade qualification in a mechanical discipline, or a formal qualification (HNC/HND) in a mechanical engineering discipline. Full Driving License Essential Experience Knowledge of Health & Safety statutory legislation and requirements Computer literacy with an aptitude to become proficient with CAFM and various in-house software suites Essential Skills Appetite to learn fault finding and problem solving skills on mechanical systems Demonstrate an innovative, positive and open approach to problem solving Work well with others, helping to generate a positive team atmosphere Build effective working relationships Take ownership of personal development Take responsibility for their own Health & Safety, comply with all relevant regulations To be self-motivated and proactively seek to learn and develop Desirable Attributes Basic understanding of mechanical systems, preferably HVAC / AHU / Sprinkler pumps, but training, hands-on experience, development and supervision will be provided. COMPEX qualification / experience working in explosive atmospheres. Benefits A competitive salary range will be offered for the role of £40,000 - £42,000 Access to company van during working hours / on clients site.
