Apply now for the position of Product Support Engineer. You will focus on supporting complex medical test devices in the production environment, requiring a blend of mechanical and electrical expertise. You will resolve production line issues, perform technical repairs on faulty equipment and devices, and maintain accurate Electronic Device History Records (eDHR).
Your Role:
* Provide essential technical support for the assembly and testing of complex medical testing instruments.
* Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on units that fail production testing to return them to a conforming state.
* Diagnose and resolve technical bottlenecks on the manufacturing line to ensure consistent production throughput.
* Partner with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering teams to help develop, validate, and optimise new manufacturing systems and processes.
* Assist the quality department in investigating field concerns by providing technical insights into product construction and failure modes.
* Complete all rework and repair documentation within the eDHR system to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
* Identify and report recurring defects to the design team to facilitate product reliability improvements.
Your Expertise:
* Demonstrated experience in the assembly or repair of electro‑mechanical devices.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical engineering drawings.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify component failures.
* Good technical writing skills.
* Strong technical problem‑solving using structured methods such as 5‑Why, Ishikawa, or DMAIC.
* Previous experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment is advantageous.
