Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant for our Mental Health Residential Home located in Garston, Watford.
Due to the nature of the residents - we are seeking for an experienced staff member who is able to support residents who have Mental Health and Cognitive Impairment issues.
We currently do not hold sponsorship license - and unable to offer sponsorship positions.
The applicant would require to have experience in the healthcare sector and Mental Health setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity and respect.
Duties
* Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support healthcare professionals in implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding patient care and improvements.
* Ensuring able to work and manage with behaviours and support for residents.
* Perform medication rounds for our Mental Health residents.
* Performing and reviewing Care Plans & Risk Assessments for each resident.
Experience
* Experience in working in Healthcare Sector and further Mental Health setting.
* Strong communication skills are vital for effective interaction with patients and team members.
* Familiarity with care plans is advantageous but can be learned on the job.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure are essential traits for success in this role.
