We areseeking to appoint an enthusiastic staff nurse to join our team. We are a busy 24 bedded rehabilitation unitwhich is nurse and therapy led. Ensuring an intergrated approach for thebenefit of out patients

Main duties of the job
Starling ward is a 24bedded elderly rehabiltation ward. wealso specialise in Palliative and End oflife care. We accept patients from the acute sites, direct from accident andemergency, from other organisations and from the surrounding community
The main duties of the role are:
-Plan and deliver high quality of care to patients adheringto the trust policies and procedures.
-Maintain a high standard of documentation
-Plan and deliver safe admissions and discharges
- Be responsible for the delegation of tasks to othermembers of the team
-Work well as a team player but also showinitativeFr

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Job responsibilities
Asa staff nurse on Starling Ward you will be responsible for the planning,organisation and delivery of care to patients, assessing individual needs todevelop, implement and evaluate programmes of care. You may depending uponexperience also be responsible for supervision of junior staff within theteam.. Excellent communication skills are required and you must have the abilityto work well on your own initiative or as part of a team. You should possessgood organisational skills and be able to contribute to the development offlexible working arrangements within the team. You must be clinically up todate with nursing skills and motivated to develop professionally. Hoursavailable are both a mixture of maternity cover and permanent hours.
