Brownlee Cale are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation and maintenance works on civil engineering projects across the Northwest. Working on a CIS self-employed basis, you will be responsible for managing site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and within agreed timescales. Key Duties * Supervise mechanical installation and maintenance works on water treatment and pumping stations. * Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to deliver works to design, spec, and programme. * Ensure compliance with site health, safety, and environmental requirements. * Review and interpret mechanical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments. * Monitor quality of workmanship, carrying out inspections and reporting progress. * Liaise with project managers and other supervisors to resolve site issues. * Maintain accurate records of works, permits, and site documentation. Skills & Experience Needed * Strong background in mechanical works within the water or utilities sector. * Previous supervisory or foreman-level experience. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Good communication and organisational skills. * CSCS card (gold or above preferred). * SSSTS/SMSTS certification (advantageous). * Confined space, EUSR or water hygiene training (advantageous). * Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the Northwest. * UTR number and ability to work under CIS.
