Humanities Teacher (History, Geography and RE)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking Secondary School in Redhill this September. This full-time role involves teaching a mix of History, Geography, and Religious Education to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. If you’re passionate about helping young people explore the world around them and enjoy bringing these subjects to life in the classroom, we’d love to hear from you.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education that cater to the needs of all students across KS3 and KS4.
* Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback to foster their development and knowledge.
* Develop and use a variety of teaching techniques and materials that reflect best practices and recent developments in the teaching of Humanities.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
* Update all necessary records accurately as required and attend departmental meetings.
* Foster and participate in the school's extracurricular activities such as field trips and special interest clubs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience in teaching History, Geography, and Religious Education at secondary level.
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4 in Humanities.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
* Passionate about engaging students and developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team of teachers.
