We are looking for a Chef to join our Catering Team at The Wells Road Hospital. If you are hardworking and energetic with a passion for delivering quality, freshly cooked, healthy, and wholesome food to our patients, staff, and visitors, we would love to hear from you.
We have a position available working 6 hours a day, 37.5 hours a week (including weekends and bank holidays). Shifts are between 7:00am and 6:30pm; the pattern will be discussed at interview.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Therefore, the Trust would not be able to sponsor for such visas.

Responsibilities include providing patient, staff, or visitor meals by following specific processes and procedures to ensure food quality and safety, complying with food hygiene legislation.
Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from salary following appointment. The DBS application costs are £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), deducted over the first two months of employment. Enrolling in the DBS Update Service is encouraged, with an annual fee of £16.
