§ To assist with domestic activities such as housework and laundry
§ To assist residents with their personal care needs
§ To answer call bells, emergency bells, the door and the telephone: greet visitors
§ To assist with all meal preparation, eating and drinking and supervise dietary needs
§ To assist with the promotion of mental and physical activities for residents through the key worker system: by talking to them, taking them out and engaging in activities with them such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreation
§ To ensure privacy and dignity is always maintained
§ To be aware of any significant changes in resident's health functioning or behavior and to discuss it with Senior Health Care Assistant or Team Leader
§ To ensure rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned, maintained and adequately heated
§ To operate an agreed system of regular written and verbal feedback and communication with residents, their families and Senior Health Care Assistant or Team Leader
§ To receive supervision as arranged by the Registered Home Manager, as appropriate
§ To support and assist residents with personal care needs: include dressing, undressing, bathing, managing continence needs, teeth cleaning and toileting
§ To ensure confidentiality of all residents' records
§ To be aware of the security of the residents and building, locking external doors and windows at a time specified by the Registered Home Manager
§ To adhere to policies and procedures within the Home and the Organisation
