We are looking for a Stock Merchandiser
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Stock Merchandiser to join our growing team! As a Stock Merchandiser you will be responsible for ensuring the right products are available in the right stores, at the right time, and in the right quantities, working closely with suppliers. Your role will involve making key decisions about pricing and planning/managing stock levels to maximise sales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing and terms
• Monitor the Workshop's inventory levels and reorder stock points within our ERP system to maintain an optimal supply of goods
• Collaborate with internal teams (production, workshop, finance) to forecast demand and record & report sales performance.
• Track, analyse and report on cost variances related to production and inventory
• Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost reduction
• Conduct & support audits by providing relevant purchasing/financial documentation on results
• Working with the product team to range plan and quantify stock ordering, accurately reflecting business targets
• Work with the wider Product team to input product data into our ERP system accurately and in a timely manner in support of new launches and releases
• Generate purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation of the procurement process
• Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery with an accurate OTIF rate (on time in full)
• Assist with receiving deliveries: check quantities, match items with packing slips, and inspect for damage
• Handle high-value items with discretion and follow all security procedures
• Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies, including damaged or missing items
• Generate regular reports on inventory health, shrinkage, and product movement
• Maintain logs of stock-related activities, including damage reports, transfers, and adjustments
• Analyse sales, product sell-through rates to drive and manage optimal inventory across our business
• Maintain and work with suppliers regularly to ensure all stock levels are up to date and inventory integrity is maintained
• Lead and support on half-yearly stock audits of both stores and the Workshop
Who we are looking for:
• At least 2 years’ experience in a stock merchandising role or similar
• Experience working with an ERP system, NetSuite preferred
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• High attention to detail, especially when handling delicate or high-value items
• Good understanding of inventory systems and stock rotation principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional in handling sensitive or high-value merchandise
• Knowledge of sales and marketing principles
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
