About the role:

As a Mental Health Access Clinician, you will deliver therapeutic support and interventions to individuals with mild to high needs, supporting the operations of the Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC). Your expertise will ensure the provision of high-quality triage, safe mental health assessment, therapeutic interventions and referral services. Your responsibilities will include:
12. Working with adults (18 to 65 years old) who present with various mental health matters;
13. Developing a clear understanding of your clients through case formulation and assessment;
14. Providing counselling and evidence-based interventions in brief, moderate, extended and group forms;
15. Monitoring client risk factors;
16. Taking accurate case notes and complying with the quality framework;
17. Working closely with other allied health professionals in the community for referral and outreach; and
18. Participating in community events and advocacy that build the profile and accessibility of the centre.
About you:

To be successful in this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in an Allied Mental Health discipline and be registered with an appropriate professional association and /or AHPRA. You will have had experience in an equivalent clinical position within a mental health service and have demonstrated experience in case management, care coordination and evidence-based intervention. You will also require a:
19. Drivers Licence; and
20. Police Check.
