Job Title: Financial Operations Assistant.
Description:
The role of a Junior Finance Assistant is to support the finance team in various tasks such as processing sales and purchase invoices, performing bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate mapping of invoices from A2X in Xero, assisting with month-end procedures and reconciliations, supporting statutory audits, and maintaining financial policies and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Process sales and purchase invoices accurately using accounting software
* Perform bank reconciliations, including purchases via Soldo
* Ensure invoices are correctly mapped from A2X in Xero
* Support month-end procedures and reconciliations
* Assist with statutory audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
Requirements:
* 1+ year's industry experience
* AAT Level 2 qualified
* Proficiency with accounting software (Xero experience is a plus)
* Strong attention to detail and initiative in problem-solving
* Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
* High level of professionalism and discretion
* Strong ownership of tasks and proactive work ethic
* Excellent communication and written English
* Strong numerical skills and Excel competence (essential)
