Join a well-resourced specialist secondary school in South Manchester, teaching KS3 and KS4 Science with a focus on Biology up to GCSE level. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who have additional learning needs, such as autism and ADHD, in a smaller classroom setting where your teaching will make a genuine difference.
The Role – Science Teacher (Biology Specialism)
* Teach KS3–KS4 Science, with a Biology focus at KS4
* Chemistry and Physics will be taught only up to Key Stage 3
* Inspire students with creative and engaging lessons
* Contribute to a collaborative and supportive teaching team
* Manage Teaching Assistants within your classroom
* Help shape the direction of the Science Department
* Play a key role in improving student outcomes in a nurturing, inclusive environment
Qualifications & Requirements We’re looking for a confident, caring, and experienced Science Teacher with:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – required
* A Science-related degree, ideally with a Biology specialism
* Experience teaching Science at KS3–KS4 level
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Excellent classroom communication and organisation
* Understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices (preferred)
* A genuine passion for making science accessible to all learners
