Role: Assistant Chef (Bank position only) at HC-One in Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom. We value kindness and Resident wellbeing across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes, and offer you a rewarding opportunity to give something back to Residents.
Responsibilities
* Cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love.
* Provide outstanding support to the First Chef, taking charge in their absence.
* Manage food stock and plan how to make the most of the budget, coach a colleague and supervise the kitchen clean-up.
* Always keep Resident wellbeing in mind above everything else.
Qualifications
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
* Organised, able to meet deadlines, present food attractively and follow recipes precisely.
* Communicate with Residents and co-workers in a kind and considerate way.
* Safeguarding: able to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect; seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.
