Base pay range
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Engineering for a full time Lecturer in Motor Vehicle based at our brand-new Construction and Engineering Campus in Luton. The successful candidate will teach across a variety of Motor Vehicle courses, including full time IMI Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses. You will deliver engaging and interactive theory sessions that motivate learners and link to industry, along with practical sessions in a workshop.
You will put Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the forefront of everything you do and aspire to excellence in all areas of work. The successful candidate will value the learner experience and be a strong role model for our learners.
Responsibilities
* Teach across Motor Vehicle courses (including IMI Level 1, 2 and 3) and deliver both theory and practical sessions.
* Deliver engaging sessions that link to industry and motivate learners.
* Incorporate Teaching, Learning and Assessment best practices and aspire to excellence.
* Be a strong role model, valuing the learner experience and contributing to a positive learner environment.
Qualifications
* Hold appropriate professional qualifications with considerable experience in the motor vehicle industry.
* Ability to teach and assess at level 3.
* Confident in contributing to and improving the college team.
* Holding a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential; training and the opportunity to achieve a teaching qualification will be provided. An IQA qualification would be advantageous.
