SEND Teaching Assistant – Enfield
We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school on a full-time basis to work in their SEND department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to students with SEND while also being capable of covering lessons during teacher absences. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 4:00 pm.
A specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education for pupils aged from 11 to 17 years in Enfield, focusing on a wide range of backgrounds, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people aged 11-16.
* Confidence in managing a class of up to 30 students when required.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school.
* A friendly yet firm approach to foster positive student engagement.
* Strong communication skills and a passion for making a difference in young people’s lives.
