Key responsibilities:
* Prepare and present meals for your assigned kitchen section, ensuring high standards and guest satisfaction
* Follow company guidelines to reduce wastage
* Be knowledgeable about ingredients, allergens, and provenance to answer guest and colleague inquiries
* Supervise any Commis Chef or Kitchen Porter in your section
* Adhere to Food Safety standards regarding records, storage, and temperature control
* Maintain your workspace, ensuring it is stocked and ready for service
Ideal candidate:
* 1-2 years' experience in a busy kitchen, preferably in a branded hotel environment
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Ability to supervise a team and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
* Proactive, approachable, enthusiastic, and organized with strong communication skills
