The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Process Engineer looking for a new position in the Water sector? Join Stantec, a globally recognised leader in Water and natural resources. This is an expression of interest to join Stantec as a Principal Process Engineer with experience in Wastewater, based in our offices in Brighton, Ashford, Kings Hill, or Southampton in the South of England. We partner with key clients as strategic advisors, setting the industry standard according to NCE listings.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the delivery of ground-breaking Wastewater projects from inception through to construction. You will leverage your technical expertise to support Project Managers and ensure high-level execution—meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives while exceeding client expectations. Additionally, you will mentor and develop a team of Process Engineers across the region and foster strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams within the business.
About You
* A degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or equivalent)
* Ideally Chartered with demonstrable experience in the water industry
* Experience working in a design and construction environment is preferable
* Proficiency in key process skills, including process calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs, and P&ID development
* The ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions and guide project execution effectively
* Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience managing staff and fostering a culture of continuous learning
