Notably, 100% of our management team in Northumberland began their careers as support workers. We also recognize that not everyone aspires to climb the career ladder, and many of our staff have enjoyed a support worker role for over 15 years.

Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service; therefore, flexibility is essential. Available shifts include waking nights and sleep-ins, offered on a rotational basis.
Role Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Your duties will include:
* Promoting independence for the people we support
* Supporting a full range of daily activities, including cleaning, cooking, days out, or holidays
* Arranging activities within the home and local community
* Developing life skills and personal interests
* Helping ensure safety and health
* Assisting or prompting with personal care needs
* Supporting medication management
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring

What skills and qualities do I need to have?
While knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is beneficial, it is not essential. The key qualities include:
* Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
* Flexible, patient, and non-judgemental
* A great team player with lots of energy
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as manual handling

Salary: £24,310 based on 37 hours, £29,566 based on 45 hours / £12.60 per hour.
