We are looking for a Web and Digital Officer to help shape how we deliver digital services.
You will join a friendly, enthusiastic team responsible for managing and improving the council's websites and intranet. You will work with service teams to design clear, accessible content that meets user needs and is based on evidence. You'll also apply your knowledge of information architecture, SEO and UX principles.
You will advise others on content standards and accessibility legislation, with the confidence to support and challenge when needed. You will balance day-to-day requests with larger projects, using strong planning and prioritisation skills.

Skills
Essential:
* Ability to work on own initiative with effective time management skills.
* Ability to work creatively to convey complex and/or technical information accurately and clearly using plain English.
* Ability to challenge, persuade and influence to achieve outstanding digital services.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Content design and GDS design principles.
* Web content management systems, preferably Umbraco.
* Website analytics and its use in understanding user behaviour.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Maintaining large, complex websites.
* Writing and editing digital content.
* Working in a customer focused environment.
