The Role
As the Band 7 OT Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Occupational Therapy services within stroke care. Working closely with multi‑professional leads.
* To provide expert clinical support and advise, alongside the Physiotherapy Team Leader, linking closely with multi‑professional colleagues
* To hold a clinical caseload, providing excellent, high‑quality person‑centred clinical management, including patients who have complex acute and chronic presentations, determining the functional deficits and OT treatment within an acute setting
* To strive to provide a service fit for today and the future, considering and inputting into the latest evidence‑based practice, developing personal leadership to support clinical and service growth and staff development
* The post holder will be the Clinical Specialist to support and facilitate Occupational Therapy Service with key roles in the development of a competent, knowledgeable workforce, equipping them to provide high‑quality person‑centred care
* The successful candidate will be expected to provide assessment, treatment, advice, evaluation and clinical management at an advanced level for patients who have complex, acute and chronic presentations
* Participation in a 7‑day working roster and bank holiday cover
