Financial Controller- Harrogate
Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller to join a well established business based in Harrogate. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of accurate monthly accounts, maintain strong financial controls, and oversee balance sheet integrity. The role includes supporting year‑end processes, working with auditors, coordinating budgets and forecasts, and providing clear financial reports for senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate monthly management accounts and commentary
* Maintain financial controls and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support year‑end accounts and audit processes
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Provide commercial finance support to the wider business
* Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding
* Lead and develop a small finance team
* Improve processes, procedures, and finance systems
* Ensure compliance with governance and statutory requirements
Requirements
* QBE, part-qualified or qualified Finance
* Strong experience producing monthly accounts and managing financial controls
* Confident in supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Ability to partner effectively with non‑finance stakeholders
* Comfortable with improving processes and supporting system enhancements
Salary:
£ 65,000, plus additional benefits
