A health and care regulator are seeking a Director of Fitness to Practise (FTP). This is a senior leadership role within the regulator and will be responsible for driving transformation and continuous improvement across the fitness to practise function.
As the Director of FTP you will oversee the FTP Directorate and Professional Conduct Directorate and will provide strategic leadership in addition to leading an essential function. The role will oversee a wide-ranging review of operations, explore how digital tools can enhance efficiency, and contribute to the development of regulatory standards. Furthermore, you will support teams and work closely with stakeholders to secure fair and timely decisions.
To be considered, you will be a qualified Barrister or Solicitor or have significant experience working within a statutory framework, including experience in the preparation and investigation of cases, ideally within a healthcare setting. You should have a proven ability to lead and manage a team as well as previous experience working as part of a senior management team. Finally you will have a commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer care.
On offer is a salary of £90,000 as well as a range of competitive benefits and generous holiday allowance. They operate a hybrid system with an expectation of 1-2 days a week in the office (London) and the rest of the time working from home. All equipment to enable home working is provided. This is a full time role, but can be appointed on a permanent, fixed-term or contract basis, depending on your circumstances and preferences.
