A well‑established regional electrical contractor in Northampton is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee a strong pipeline of commercial and general contracting projects. This role suits someone with solid project experience who wants to step up, take ownership, and progress within a supportive and ambitious business.
Role Overview
The position involves managing electrical projects from initial survey through to completion, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery. General contracting schemes, no residential work. The business is open to candidates from small electrical contractors, M&E companies, or client‑side estates and facilities teams. A Gold ECS Card is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate electrical projects from planning to handover.
* Attend site meetings, carry out surveys, and assess project requirements.
* Manage engineers, subcontractors, materials, and scheduling.
* Oversee budgets, variations, and client communication.
* Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and health and safety standards.
* Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Contribute to business growth and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
* Strong understanding of commercial and general contracting electrical installations.
* Confident managing multiple projects and making decisions on site.
* Organised, proactive, and clear in communication.
* Holds a Gold ECS Card and a full UK driving licence.
