Overview
Binnies, an RS K company, is recruiting Senior CAD/BIM Technicians to join our teams based in Central Scotland, Redhill and the South East of England. Our CAD team supports frameworks with Scottish Water, Anglian Water, Southern Water and Thames Water AMP programmes. The CAD Technicians will be accountable to support the Design Lead and other team members in delivering detailed design services including production of models and drawings using Civil 3D, Revit and AutoCAD.

Location: Redhill, UK. Vacancy: Permanent / Contract / Freelance. Hybrid/Remote working options are available.
Key responsibilities
* Work to Binnies project controls guidelines and procedures, including our Common Data Environment (CDE), Projectwise.
* Support the Design Lead/CAD Manager and other team members in undertaking a wide range of design related tasks.
* Undertake design and modelling activities using the software packages specified (Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD).
* Produce comprehensive and accurate construction deliverables, typically 2D drawings developed from 3D models.
* Work under limited supervision performing complex technical work.
* Comply with the Binnies IMS, CDM regulations and other relevant safety and environmental legislation.
* Maintain high technical standards, in line with the project brief and Binnies HSEA requirements.
* Help supervise junior technicians to ensure timely design outputs in accordance with programme and quality requirements.
* Assist with the development of standards and procedures.
Experience required
* Water / Wastewater project background.
* Revit – Model Coordination & Linking, Complex Structures, Pipe Systems with Auto Routing, Mechanical Detailing, Tagging, Schedules & Annotation.
* Civil 3D – Surfaces, Pipe Networks, Pressure Pipe Networks, Corridors, COGO Points, Data Shortcuts and External References.
* Navisworks Manage – Model Federation and Clash Detection.
Qualifications
* Minimum of HNC or equivalent, in a relevant discipline.
* Understanding of BS EN ISO 19650 standards.
