Junior Clinical Fellow ST1-2 (CT1-2 Level or equivalent)
We are looking for a Junior Clinical Fellow to join our Surgical Department at Bournemouth Hospital. The role is ideal for candidates who already have at least 12 months of pre‑registration experience and wish to develop their skills in both general and emergency surgery.
Responsibilities
- Integrate into the elective and emergency workload of the department.
- Work alongside FY1/2 doctors, nurse practitioners, middle‑grade and consultant teams covering elective and emergency cases.
- Gain experience and knowledge in elective and emergency surgery across clinics, theatre, on‑call and ward rounds.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months pre‑registration clinical experience.
- Strong interest in developing skills in general and emergency surgery.
Training & Support
The full educational programme will be discussed and tailored at the start of the placement to meet the post taker's training needs. Educational supervision and study leave will be available to support career development.
