Job Description
Reporting to the Water Project Management Delivery Lead for the UK, as a Senior Project Manager, you will deliver projects with water companies or the Environment Agency, primarily in the Midlands, with opportunities to work in the North West of England, in consultancy roles. There will also be progression opportunities across UK water, environment, rail, or nuclear sectors.
You should have experience in pre- and post-contract management using NEC 3 or NEC 4 ECC forms and procurement within these sectors. Your role involves leveraging your project experience to drive efficiencies, manage supply chains, and oversee contracts. Experience with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Early Subcontractor Involvement (ESI) in design-and-build major capital projects is also desirable.

Role Responsibilities
* Manage NEC3/4 contracts (Options A, C, E) on the client side
* Control budgets and collaborate on payment valuations and certifying monthly payments
* Forecast costs and collaborate on defining project costs
* Maintain productive stakeholder relationships
* Ensure proper project and commercial record keeping
* Draft contractual communications and notices, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
Pre-Contract Activities
* Scope planning, cost estimates, feasibility studies
* Tender documentation and evaluation
* Risk identification and mitigation strategies
* Early collaboration with contractors during design
Post-Contract Activities
* Manage construction contracts
* Monitor expenditure and cash flow
* Negotiate change orders and variations
* Claims and dispute resolution
* Final accounts and post-project evaluation
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a numeric discipline
* Full membership of a chartered body such as APM (MAPM)
* Extensive postgraduate experience in Rail, Nuclear, Water, or Environment sectors
* Experience in line management and recruitment of project managers or assistants
* Knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management
* Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card desirable
* Experience with main contractors or joint ventures on the client side
* Site presence and co-location for at least 3 days a week
* Proficiency with NEC3/4 contracts (A-C-E)
* Right to work in the UK
