Job Title: Project Manager Contract: 6-months Location: Gaydon (hybrid/ 3 days per week onsite, Tue/Wed and one other as required) Day rate: £250 inside ir35 One of our automotive clients is seeking an experienced Project Planner / Senior Project Management Specialist to lead complex, cross-functional planning activities within a fast-paced, Agile delivery environment. This role is critical to ensuring alignment between programme timing, stakeholder expectations, and team execution across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities Define, manage, and clearly communicate timing and delivery requirements to HMI Human Factors teams and wider stakeholders. Collaborate with delivery, integration, and engineering teams to align departmental plans with overall programme milestones. Develop, maintain, and adapt Agile project plans, sprint schedules, and release roadmaps. Use JIRA and Confluence to plan, track, and report progress, risks, dependencies, and changes. Coordinate planning activities across global HMI teams (AAD, China, Portland), ensuring alignment with specification releases. Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, capacity forecasting, and roadmap reviews. Monitor delivery performance, proactively identifying risks, constraints, and obstacles to timely execution. Provide regular, clear status updates to senior stakeholders, including progress, velocity, and resource utilisation. Lead large projects or planning processes with minimal oversight, maintaining alignment with strategic objectives. Support continuous improvement by analysing delivery metrics and recommending process enhancements. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience working within Agile frameworks and methodologies. Proven ability to plan and manage delivery for large, complex teams. Background in delivering technical products in collaborative environments. High level of proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile planning tools. Excellent organisational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to operate calmly and precisely in high-pressure environments. Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. Desirable Experience in an automotive or similarly complex engineering environment. Agile certifications or experience supporting Agile transformation initiatives.
