Job Title: Duty Manager – Ice Cream Parlour Location: Bury, Greater Manchester Role Type: Part-time, Permanent Salary: £12.50 – £14.50 per hour depending on experience Your Opportunity: Join a thriving, family-run ice cream parlour based on a working dairy farm in Bury. We’ve been serving up fresh Jersey milk ice cream and hot snacks for over four years and are now expanding to include a café and education facility. We're looking for a hands-on Duty Manager to oversee our busy outdoor kiosk and help lead a small, passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hospitality experience who’s looking for a regular weekend role – with potential for more hours and long-term progression as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the smooth daily running of the ice cream parlour * Lead and support a small team to deliver excellent customer service * Ensure operational standards and procedures are followed * Handle basic administrative tasks and daily checks * Support food hygiene and health & safety compliance * Be ready to jump in and help wherever needed Qualifications & Experience Required: * Previous experience in hospitality or retail – essential * Proven ability to lead or supervise a team * Friendly, reliable, and confident working in a customer-facing role * Good organisational and communication skills * Flexible and willing to get stuck in wherever needed Benefits: * £12.50 – £14.50 per hour depending on experience * 16–18 hours per week (Fridays & Saturdays – hours vary by season) * Opportunity for additional hours in other roles if required * Friendly and supportive working environment * Be part of an exciting, growing rural business Right to Work in the UK: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
