Job summary
We are seeking a self-motivated, well-organized, and methodical Clinical Trial Administrator to join the Sutton-based Haemato-Oncology department. The primary responsibility is to assist with the retrieval, review, and entry of clinical trial patient data, as well as to design and implement tools and guidance for data capture, especially for early phase or complex trial interventions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including experienced medical and nursing staff, engaging in a diverse range of clinical trials.
The ideal candidate should be flexible, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication, administrative, and IT skills. Supportive and open to new initiatives, you will contribute to our dynamic research environment.

Main duties include:
1. Supporting clinical research teams with study administration to ensure efficient trial delivery in accordance with GCP, SOPs, Trust policies, and regulations.
2. Ensuring timely and accurate data entry into database systems across research locations.
3. Assisting Research Nurses with data query resolution.
4. Supporting daily trial activities and workload management within the clinical research team.

Additional responsibilities involve liaising with external agencies, acting as a point of contact for trial sponsors, and communicating with colleagues and staff at all levels regarding trial activities, including handling confidential information.
Qualifications include at least GCSE/A level education, with a good understanding of medical terminology. Experience working with databases and MS Office applications is essential, with preferred experience in NHS or oncology trials. The role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the nature of the work.
