Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking to appoint a Regional Accountant to support the Commercial Finance function within Wiltshire Farm Foods (Direct To Consumer) part of the business.

This is a great opportunity to develop your finance business partnering skills. We are looking for someone with finance business partnering experience who can communicate clearly and effectively with non-finance colleagues.
You will be part of a team of 10. Your main responsibilities will include being the lead finance business partner for the Wiltshire Farm Foods Mid region, reporting key financial insights, and ensuring understanding of financial performance while maintaining and enhancing accounting processes and controls.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 17:00
This role is based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
After training and gaining competence, you will have the option to work from home up to 2 days per week, subject to business needs.

Responsibilities
* Lead regional finance reviews at month-end, owning the review of all factors impacting P&L.
* Promote continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare materials for weekly regional meetings such as sales updates and performance insights.
* Partner with Regional Managers to support team performance.
* Provide commercial insights and challenge to regional teams, sharing observations and opportunities.
* Analyze regional financial performance, tracking sales, site performance, and risks.
* Participate in the monthly period-end close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Engage in key projects and maintain strong financial controls, including balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintain regular contact with depots, reviewing forecasts, sales, and labor details.
* Share insights with the wider organization, fostering learning and sharing best practices.
Please note occasional travel within the UK to depots may be required.
About you
Essential:
* At least 1 year of experience in a finance environment or related qualification.
* Effective communicator, proficient in Excel.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Detail-oriented with understanding of financial activities.
* Flexible, deadline-focused, organized, and proactive.
Desirable:
* Experience with SAP, Navision/Dynamics.
* Working towards a finance qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA), with support available.
